Orange Chicken & Fried Rice


I can't tell you how much I loved this recipe!!
It's sweet, spicy, and so flavorful.
I love cooking Asian style dishes.


What you will need:
  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1-2 green onions
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • Canola oil (for frying)
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • dash salt and pepper

Orange Chicken Sauce:
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons water
  • 5 tablespoons sugar
  • 5 tablespoons white vingear

Directions:
  1. Cut chicken pieces into 1 to 2-inch cubes.
  2. Stir in 1 of the beaten eggs, salt, pepper and sesame oil and mix well. 
  3. Stir cornstarch and flour together
  4. Add the chicken pieces until coated in mix
  5. Heat oil in deep frying pan and add chicken
  6. Fry chicken for 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and crisp
  7. Clean pan
  8. Add the garlic, ginger, red pepper and green onions to the pan and stir fry for 30 seconds
  9. Add the soy sauce, vinegar, sugar and water mixture to the pan along with the cooked chicken
  10. Coat the chicken in orange sauce and heat until sauce is thickened. 
  11. In another frying pan cook the 1 beaten egg and cut into small pieces.
  12. Serve over rice and top with remaining green onions.
  13. Enjoy
