It's sweet, spicy, and so flavorful.
I love cooking Asian style dishes.
What you will need:
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1-2 green onions
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- Canola oil (for frying)
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- dash salt and pepper
Orange Chicken Sauce:
- 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tablespoons water
- 5 tablespoons sugar
- 5 tablespoons white vingear
Directions:
- Cut chicken pieces into 1 to 2-inch cubes.
- Stir in 1 of the beaten eggs, salt, pepper and sesame oil and mix well.
- Stir cornstarch and flour together
- Add the chicken pieces until coated in mix
- Heat oil in deep frying pan and add chicken
- Fry chicken for 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and crisp
- Clean pan
- Add the garlic, ginger, red pepper and green onions to the pan and stir fry for 30 seconds
- Add the soy sauce, vinegar, sugar and water mixture to the pan along with the cooked chicken
- Coat the chicken in orange sauce and heat until sauce is thickened.
- In another frying pan cook the 1 beaten egg and cut into small pieces.
- Serve over rice and top with remaining green onions.
